For the monochrome challenge I chose the color red. It is one of my favorite colors. I tend to have a lot of red fabrics. The red roses in my garden were in bloom, and they inspired this piece. I used an improv piecing technique to randomly cut shapes, loosely resembling roses. The orange stems were accented with thread stitched thorns to add contrast to the piece.
Enter my garden and smell the roses!
