Trunks

My body is my trunk, supporting and protecting. It is an anchor that also provides nutrients.

The second piece in my femina series portrays tree trunks as females while also containing the roots from the first piece.

Materials used are hand dyed fabric and dyed silk rods.

Techniques include raw edge applique and machine quilting.
