THE SPACE BETWEEN

The idea of making a wall vase came to me as a long-lost memory of one that used to hang in my family home in the north of Argentina, where the Spanish influence is strong and patio culture remains.
I wanted to recycle elements, and it wasn't until the piece was finished that I realized how closely it resembled something that had been hidden in my mind for decades.
This unexpected recognition felt like a quiet return, an intuitive way of reconnecting with the past through the act of making, bridging the space between.

Side view and details
The process:
The background is a recycled quilt, the flowers are handmade, and have been used in other projects.
I made a paper model of the pot and then constructed it in fabric.
