"Peony"

Peonies symbolize prosperity, good luck, love, romance, honour and wealth. Me, I love the colours and fragrance!

This work was inspired by a beautiful patch of peonies I saw while walking in my neighbourhood. I took several photos. A wonderful reminder of summer.

Materials: hand dyed and commerial fabric. Cotton and wool batting. Cotton thread

Techniques: Raw edge applique, machine and hand stitched
