This art quilt is a reflection on the devastating effects of climate change, focusing specifically on the melting glaciers that are rapidly disappearing from our planet.
As glaciers melt, sea levels rise and weather patterns shift. The water levels effect all forms of life and endanger mankind as well as the animals in that environment.
“Melting" is a call for awareness, a reminder that the ice we once thought permanent is vanishing and upsetting the fragile balance of our planet.
After finishing the quilt, I decided to add the penguin. It points out the effect climate change has on wildlife.
