Hi my name is Paula Rafferty, I'm a textile artist living in Limerick, Ireland.
"Pumphouse 1"
This is one of my most recent pieces, made in a style that I have been playing with for awhile! It started life as a pre-dawn photo of a section of the river Shannon, a spot that I have swum in daily for over a year and a half now. This place has been my lifeline during COVID and the inspiration for most of my work during this time.

In a nutshell, I'm a full-time art teacher in the Irish Prison System, a quilt judge, a long-arm quilter, teacher and textile artist. I used to travel the world teaching, exhibiting and lecturing.
Now I'm happy to stay put and work away in my studio, making and submitting work for juried exhibits.
Getting to be part of this new groups been a wonderful way for me to make new friends, experience their working practices and hopefully push myself to make new work!
