Canopy

Femina 3, continuing with the tree metaphor, my third piece is called "Canopy".

The canopy, a collection of leaves (women) from many trees (generations) existing to provide protection and support. The upper leafy layer is formed by crowns of individual trees

Materials: hand dyed fabric

Techniques: Machine applique, machine quilted, hand stitched
