When I think of portals, I think of escaping – perhaps to the beach, or the mountains or just a quiet cozy corner with a good book. And then there is the other side of that escape. Escaping from what? Cooking the 30th family dinner of the month? Boring work? Demanding customers?
As I was constructing this piece, I kept hearing Natasha Bedingfield singing the chorus of “Pocket Full of Sunshine”
Take me away
A secret place
A sweet escape
Take me away
To better days
A hiding place
- Natasha Bedingfield, Danielle Brisebois, John Shanks
And away I went!

Another interesting interpretation for a portal. Love how you told the story verbally and Visually.
